5. INTERNATIONAL RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT AND NEW YEAR IN CRIKVENICA (CROATIA)

Where: Touristic city CRIKVENICA (famous with own health climate) close to RIJEKA (direction SPLIT). Hotel "THALASSOTHERAPIA" at the sea, three stars hotel, SAT-TV in each room, indoor swimming pool etc.

When: 29.12.2006. with dinner – 01.01.2007. with lunch

Price: Euro165,00 in cash for 3 complete full board in ½ room (+including also Gala dinner on 31.12. with music and dance), gratis swimming pool, entry fee for chess tournament and hotel's tax. Supplement for 1/1 room is Euro 9,50/per day.

Children 7-12 years old 30% discount on Euro 165, children 2-7 years old 40% discount on Euro 165, children under 2 years old free of charge on parent's bed.

Chess tournament rules: 9 rounds on December 30th and 31st, 25 minutes for player, Suisse system, FIDE rules.

30.12.2006. = Registration and start at 10:30 hours (5 rounds)

31.12.2006. = Start at 10:30 hours (4 round); Closing ceremony at 18:00 hours.

Players which do not use full hotel's service must pay entry fee of 80,00 Kuna (about Euro 10,80) or women/juniores/cadettes 50,00 Kuna (about Euro 6,80).

Obligation: To bring chess set and clock or to lend from organizer (as white pieces).

Prizes: First eight (8) in cash: 1. 3.500,00 Kuna (about Euro 473) 2. 2.500,00 (about Euro 339) 3. 2.000,00 (about Euro 270) 4. 1.500,00 (about Euro 203) 5. 1.000,00 (about Euro 135) 6. 700 (about Euro 95) 7. 500 (about Euro 68) and 8. 300 (about Euro 41). From 9. place till..... many practical prizes (weekends in hotel, drinks, things etc).

Six /6/ special prizes in cash:

First three /3/ women and first three /3/ players with Elo rating Under 2000:

1. 1.500 Kuna (about Euro 203); 2. 1.000,00 (Euro 135); 3. 500 (Euro 68).

First three players born Year 1990 and younger: practical prizes.

Total prize fund is about Euro 3.000,00.
